The taste was no different to him, he survived off these things. Over the years he learned how to cope with it and just eat without taste. He didn’t hear any foot steps as he should of but he had his bear close to him silently eating.
Astrid tilted her head as her eyes met a figure and a knocked over trashcan. To be honest, she was expecting more. She let her weight shift to one hip as she usually did and cleared her throat in a loud manner.
“So you’re Kinda like me!” Korra smiled. “Cause I’m technically half spirit half human.”
“Huh” She paused. “I guess so! Thats interesting. So, Korra, what do you like to do for fun?”
“I’ve never heard about them before” Korra remarked. “And you’re one of their kids so shouldn’t you be a god too?
“Its not really that simple.” She mumbled. “My mother’s mortal so I’m only half. I have different blood then most humans and different abilities. I can see magic as it is. But thats pretty much all when it comes to me.”
Gen was doing his usual rounds of scavenging in a trash can for some food. He didn’t like to look for food this way but when your alone in the world with nothing you have to do what you have to do. After a bit he found a partly rotten banana, he tipped the trash can over so it falls and he sit there and ate his banana.
Astrid hummed as she walked down the street then took a sharp turn into a darkly lit smaller alley. She continued humming as she began her way through the broken paved walk ways. She stopped humming as she heard a large metal bang to her right. She turned and started jogging in the noises direction curiously.
“Oh!… Sounds like a nasty spirit or something if you ask me. So are there other ‘gods’?”
“Yes, course!” Astrid skimmed her brain for the names even though she probably had said them a billion times. “Im a daughter of one, Poseidon. And theres, Zues. And Hera.”
“Who’s Hades? Is he a bender or something?”
“He’s a god.” Astrid explained. “He controls the Underworld, all the stuff below our feet. He doesnt bend anything but rules, really.”
“Ok! Uh… this is Firebending.”
“Thats pretty cool!” Astrid smiled, adjusting her weight to a hip. “Its like youre a Hades’ kid but with a twist.”
“Well… Basically I’m the bridge between the physical and spirit world and I’m supposed to keep the peace and in order to do that I can bend all 4 elements. But I’m no good with spiritual mumbo-jumbo so I mainly focus on my bending. I love it!”
“I get you for ignoring the spiritual things. That stuff can get you in deep trouble. Really? Elements? Like water and air ect? Can you show me?”
Oh nothing much…. Been wondering around, trying to meet new people. Just an average day in the life of the Avatar. How about you?
Just writing, I guess. Sorta boring but ideas just pile up, ya know? Avatar? Youre an Avatar. What meaning does that title go under?
